How to go Back to the old YouTube Layout (2013)

How to go Back to the old YouTube Layout (2017).
If you’re a seasoned YouTube user, you may have seen this new mockup a few months later, when it was still in beta and was available to a select few users. However, YouTube today launched a new Material Design desktop interface for everyone.
The new site is built on Google Polymer platform to improve performance and reliability. But there are several reasons why you might not like YouTube’s new material desktop design. For example –
- Aesthetically unpleasant on the eyes (looks more mobile in design)
- The likes / dislikes streak looks like the dislike ratio is very high when the streak is very short
- Difficult to play videos from a specific video.
- There is no way to view view statistics (how many views a video has received over time) in the video description, etc.
So, for whatever reason you don’t like the new YouTube layout and want to go back to the old YouTube layout, here’s how to do it.
Click on the user icon in the upper right corner.
Click “Recover Old YouTube”.
Please indicate the reason why you are returning.
Click Submit.
And that’s it, YouTube will return to the old format.
Although it works fine, we’re not sure how long it will last. If not many people give up on this new YouTube interface, they’ll probably get everyone to use the new layout, if you like it.
